CIRCO LOCO - DC10 IBIZA

In 2003, I spent a season in Ibiza working for We Love Sundays at Space. Space opened at 8am and ran right through until 6am on Monday morning, almost 22 hours every week. Massive respect to the team for curating that week in, week out.

When Space finished, DC10 would open at 6am. Back then it was a daytime party, closing at 9pm. If you were hard enough, you’d crack on straight from Space. I usually headed home to get a little sleep, then went back down around 12ish.

It was a crazy place and definitely lived up to the name, pretty much in the middle of nowhere, no roof, and a killer sound system. I’ve just dug up some of the flyers and the line-ups were insane. Regulars and residents included Loco Dice, Cirillo, Clive Henry, Luciano, Mr C, Tania Vulcan, and Jo Mills, with guests dropping in like Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Timo Maas, Damien Lazarus, Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, or anyone who fitted the vibe and happened to be on the island. It really was one crazy place!
